You are living in science fictionYou are living in science fiction. You ARE science fiction. No, no, I'm not joking. I mean it. The food you eat, the medicines you take, the pre-natal care your mother took, all of these things shape the physical and mental "you". All of these things were the science fiction of yesteryear. Science fiction became scientific fact.Oh no, don't smirk. I once saw a horror movie in which an evil scientist was doing unspeakable research.... transplanting human hearts. A few years later, Dr.Christian Barnard actually did it. Now it's done routinely in hospitals all over the world. |

So don't tell ME that you are not living in science fiction. Moreover, you are a time traveller. Certainly you didn't imagine you were sitting still in time, did you? You are travelling into the future at the rate of one minute per minute. It's a one-way trip with no stops (although you might get a return ticket if the universe actually stops expanding and starts to contract). So sit back and enjoy the ride, and if you want to know what's ahead, read some science fiction. |
