WAV tests

WAV files may be created using two different sampling sizes and three different sampling rates. A sampling size of 16 bits gives much better sound quality than 8 bits. As you might expect, it also takes up twice as much space. Likewise, the higher the sampling rate the better the sound (and the bigger the WAV file).

Each of these WAV files runs for about 8 seconds.

Sound test #1 8-bit sampling size, 11,025 hertz sampling rate (99,260 bytes)
Sound test #2 8-bit sampling size, 22,050 hertz sampling rate (187,470 bytes)
Sound test #3 8-bit sampling size, 44,100 hertz sampling rate (396,944 bytes)
Sound test #4 16-bit sampling size, 11,025 hertz sampling rate (187,452 bytes)
Sound test #5 16-bit sampling size, 22,050 hertz sampling rate (374,894 bytes)
Sound test #6 16-bit sampling size, 44,100 hertz sampling rate (705,644 bytes)
