Quite a few people have come up to me and asked, "Did you teach math at Forest Park College?" It's not always math, and it may be some high school as opposed to a college, but a lot of people are convinced that I am a teacher or professor who once taught them some subject. It happens to me all the time.
One day I was describing this phenomenon to my co-workers. One of them was a young man newly arrived from Korea. When I finished my story he nodded his head vigorously and said, "Yes, you look like my math teacher as well!"
I've never been an instructor at any institute for higher (or lower) education. But I am curious about this fellow I'm supposed to resemble. He sure seems to get around.
